Audi use specially encrypted keys that are produced specifically to the VIN number. They are pre-programmed with a special code known as 'Component Protection'. Because of this, making replacement keys for Audi cars is extremely difficult, as it is not as straightforward as just using a standard blank key . However, for most early models up until around 2015, we have the ability to calculate the Component Protection data and produce 'dealer keys', which allows us to program blank remote keys from our stock making the whole process significantly quicker. For vehicles 2015 onwards we will need to order the original factory key in order to complete the job.

How Much Will it Cost?
The price varies from model to model. The biggest variance in the price is the parts cost. If aftermarket parts are available the cost can be very reasonable, especially when comparing to a main dealer. However, if only original parts are available for your vehicle this will make the job considerably more expensive. We will always as a minimum look to match the dealer price, and in most cases we are still someway cheaper.
